DVD+R (-R) on premium ICE? |
|
Hi all,
just wondering... can the 6disc premium ice play DVD+R discs? The manual seems to suggest it doesn't but then again makes no mention of the diagnostic screen either
6*0.7GB= 4.2GB of MP3s whereas 6*4.5GB=27GB of MP3s if it does...
(of course I could just plug the Zen in the AUX input, but then I would have to change tracks from that...)
Thanks

100 tracks on a DVD sounded a bit on the low side...
Thanks for the replies, didn't think I'd have much luck but I am burning one just to test... how bad could it be for the unit???

Wrong thickness disks can get stuck in the unit. It then has to be returned to the manufacturer to be repaired..... Careful Disco 5 HSE Lux

I think 190+ is over 140
I recommend speech control if you have them all in one directory Disco 5 HSE Lux

I guess it depends on bitrate used for encoding: at 320 Kbps you are looking at 8-12 MB per track depending on original length... making about 70 per CD+R disk. The lower the encoding the more you can fit at the expense of "quality" (though my detuned ears can rarely tell the differnce )
