Locking wheel nut?
Just a quick one Guys. I have my HSE at the garage to have the mud flaps fitted and side steps. Just got a call from the garage to say that they cannot find the locking wheel nut remover.
Anybody know where it's kept? It's not with the jack and tools.
Thanks,
Clarabella.

Think that locking wheel nuts on the D3 is more trouble than it's worth.
I've ditched mine in favour of standard nuts.
If someone is so brave/foolish to jack each corner up to extended off road height to nick the wheels ... good luck to them!...... always on the road less travelled 🚧
Still use mine working in London and living in the country means pikeys everywhere and they are devious

Try under the rubber cap that covers the winder that lowers the spare. Before I took all my lockers off that's where I kept it.

I had dealer installed locking lugs on my Disco 2. Not long after a service visit I had a tire go flat. I could not loosen any of the lug nuts let alone the locking lug. My brother-in-law used his air wrench to loosen them. He told me the torque was to high on the lugs. He could not remove the locking lug and was afraid of breaking the key. The tire was leaking slowly so he filled it with air and sent me on my way to the dealership. Not only did they break my key at the dealership they also broke the replacement key that they ordered for me! They ended up cutting the locking lugs off of all four wheels and had the cheek to charge me for replacement locking lugs!
I had a "polite" conversation with the service manager and explained that only they service my Land Rover. Eventually it was worked out.
I chose not to have locking lugs on my LR3.

The key would be either in glove compartment, in the jack and wrench bag in the RHS compartment in the boot or may be in the boot cubby boxes.
when you find it, undo the nuts chuck em away and buy 4 replacement nuts from Nick AKA The Large One. They are a pain and over time "split"Duncan

Locking wheel nuts are a pain in the backside, so many customers don't know where the god dame thing is.
P.S. We keep all the locking nuts for D3, because we need to.

After having the wheel nuts on a previous car seize up, and it being very expensive to put right got into the habit of loosening and re-torquing the wheel nuts on every car since on a monthly basis, only takes 5 minutes and not had any trouble since.
This would be my tip for today I believe that every human has a finite number of heart-beats. I don't intend to waste any of mine running around doing exercises.

A little tip which most will say "we already know that" is to loosen all the other nuts first then tackle the locker.
