winter driving
what kind of advise would the forum give on winter driving on snow?
I found this on youtube
Oh for some snow!! Experience is a difficult teacher, because she gives the test first and then the lesson afterwards!!!!

Sounds like the first piece of advice I was given Gareth when I got my first Land Rover Discovery - "you may find you have lots more traction than everyone else to get you moving, but if you need to stop in a hurry you'll likely slide further because your so much heavier".

I'm fine Gareth, still got my D3 (87K) and still around. Not signed into to the site for quite a while, but have 'lurked' as a visitor on odd occassions.
Not been off roading or green laning since the last time I was out with you and the others, though I managed to get my D3 stuck a few weeks back(parked it on soft ground and it sunk all 4 wheels to the axles)... had to get some assistance from a TD5 Disco to give a gentle pull. I want to, however SWMBO seems VERY against such a move (especially as we have company car paying ALL garage bills, inc fuel) except LR not on the list of approved types. got lucky the 4x4 we have went under company radar )
