Nav system takes priority over phone, I don't like that!!
I have a small but anoying problem. If I use voice guidence and get or make a phone call and the lady off the nav systems thinks she has to tell me something, the sound off the phone goes down and I only hear the nav system. I would prefere that my phone will have priority and the nav system might give a beep or something.
As when I am in a strange town it keeps telling me to go right or left and people are hanging up on me as I don't hear anything and the have to keep repeating what they say.
Once the phone is picked-up I cannot by voice control switch the voice guidence off and it also not a one button thing on the screen.
Is there somewhere a setting that the phone gets priority?
I have the premium system in the D3 but the phone system is the 2008? LR aftermarket bluetooth system.
Somebody must have had the same 'problem', I tried to do a search but probably searching with the wrong key words.
Thanks in advance.Roel

I have the LR "phone cradle" in an 06 HSE and just had the address over Bluetooth updrade and an 08 bluetooth module fitted. Both options let me use the phone when the Sat Nav is working. Although the Sat Nav voice gives me directions I'm sure it comes through a little quieter than the phone. I often use the phone and receive directions at the same time. Its very difficult to concentrate on a conversation and listen to the SatNav at the same time. in my case this occasionaly leads me to beleive that i havnt heard the person on the other end of the phone.Duncan

In my case it really does the same as to the radio. It is really going completely to the background and you might hear they say something mostly even not but surely can't understand them.
In between I found that you can with the 2008/2009 version switch off the nav voice in 2 pushes. First the menu button and then the voice guidence off. That's already part off the solution. But can it be done automaticely?
Can we set somewhere that phone has priority over nav and radio? Like the nav has priority over the radio?Roel

I think it might just be down to the volume you have the Nav set to.
On mine, if Radio is on, Nav comes through the front speaker and radio still comes through the back.
If on the phone I'm not sure which speaker it comes throiugh as I haven't really had an issue with it.
But generally I only have the sat nav voice on when I get to near somewhere I haven't been before.

I work on drilling rigs mostly in Southern Germany and Austria and they tend to move a lot so I am driving between rig and hotel always in different earias and now it's dark at crewchange time so satnav is a pleasure to find the hotel back.
And on the long drives from holland to Austria I like it to. Even that I by now know most off the higways you can just relax and enjoy the drive without really have to concentrate which exit to take.
So in short my voice guidence is on most off the time.
And the stupid thing is people don't tend to call me when I have still 200km to go on the highway, no just before when I get close to exit's that I have to take or if I drive in a town or so.Roel
