Just noticed this released
it says for D4 2011 but looks exactly the same as a D3 version to me
can you guys just cast your eye over the pictures to confirm it looks the same, iv'e compared the 2 side by side and looks exact
and bonus is it's £26 cheaper than the D3 standard version
so makes it forum price £57.60
and since iv'e never fitted one can you see where the anti theft part is, is ot the large cannister piece and would it work??? if so i'll get some in and offer them up when members need to replace

It can only be the steel casing around the spring Nick.
Would be a damned site more difficult to get at to chop through the spring/cable for sure.

It is the same fitment as an ordinary winch.
They've been fitting them from factory for a while now. I noticed the change a while back but never thought about it too much. Makes sense now!

Any D4 owners able to post a pic in situ? Can't get my head around how it works. If it resolves the spare wheel vulnerabilty issue I am up for a group buy.

I think under compression the cap covers the spring and the end of the cable making it more secure.
looks a good solution, but would anyone steel my rusty steel spare?

I could take a photo of my D4 spare wheel but you can't see the mechanism as it has a RLD spare wheel protector on it
