Brake life POLL and ebc performance question
OK I’ve already searched and searched for a couple of quick tips and really have not found what I was looking for
First ~ what are you guys seeing for normal brake life front and rear?? This I think everybody generally see's about 35k but it's hard to tell ~ california rovers are seeing 25k and folks living in flat land and drive normal I've seen posts of over 40k ~ so just curious
Second ~ has anyone fitted this kit or similar from ebc and how does it perform??
There is a post where RAZORBACK was going to get them fitted and let us know but unless the wife is really lazy ~ he neglected to inform us watching in anticipation http://www.disco3.co.uk/forum/post138629.html#138629
Can't take part in the poll due to lack of 'less than 20k miles' The older I get, the more I realise that people confuse wrinkles for wisdom

firchk,
Don't autos wear through pads and discs quicker than manuals? Won't your results be a bit random?

my mother in law purchased an 07 RRS with 19K on the clock it has 21K now and had the stealer do the brakes for 630.00 yesterday ~
I figured there had to be something wrong but it seems like it might be possible
we have 41K on our D3 and the brakes are almost out ~ really looking at the EBC kit with the slotted rotors ~
the brakes on our D3 look factory and look very old ~ likely original ~
thanx for the feedback so far ~ i hope someone with the ebc kit lets us know if they like it

My second set are wearing better. I think there is a problem with the caliper slides not being greased ex-factory, it can lead to the pads touching the disc and leading to premature wear.“There are only three sports: bullfighting, motor racing, and mountaineering; all the rest are merely gamesâ€

Did both @ 40 000km's, as I do not like to be harsh on the brakes.
But off roading has eaten them quicker. Then put the wife behind the
wheel, pull off as if transporting eggs then waits till the last moment
as a F1 driver and stomps on the brakes. D3 bullbar-spots-roof rack with spots-ladder-long range tank-swing out spare wheel carrier- upgraded tow bar-dash console-internal water tank-duel awnings-drawer system & T T.

Looking at the link it includes EBC pads.
I had EBC pads on my Defender 50th which is the same as a NAS spec. Defender essentially.
The 6000 greens on the front and greenstuff on the rears matched to Brembo rotors...
I would recommend you stick with standard pads as I don't think the EBC ones bite or stop as well.
A couple of my mates with 50th's also found this.
The main advantage is they don't create as much dust.
If dust is an issue they are adequate but they aren't a performance pad.
