Disco 3 07 SE, does the bluetooth phone system store the numbers from my phone contacts list when it is paired? If so how do I send them across?

It doesn't store them, it uses the remote sim blutooth functionality (only if you have the right version of phone software in your car.)
Dealer can update it for 50 minutes work Bodsys Brake Bible

Can anyone tell me if the updated software which allows address book transfare works on all age blue tooth modules I have an 06 D3.
Also my phone (Xda PDA style) stores the address book in outlook will that transfare over ok or does the info need to be stored on the sim?
Cheers.

Sorry, shouldn't have put remote Sim, should have put remote contact list.
My iPhone works fine and I'm sure my Nokia E61 would have as well as the N93 (I think)
I rarely store anything on my sim card.
I'd suggest you take your phone into a dealer & get them to pair it up with one of the latest D3's, that'll tell you if it's worth getting it upgraded Bodsys Brake Bible

Hi Bodsy, just looking at one of your reply's to the bluetooth issue, and you say that your iPhone copies the phone numbers accross. I have an 05 HSE that I picked up on Saturday and a 1st generation iPhone, but it won't copy the phone book accross ??? is this all about the upgrade issue ? 90 Defender(Daughter driving at the mo)

The module software upgrade didn't work for my 06 HSE, the dealer then changed the actual module for one from an 08 MY car and it now works.

Nobby, yes, it's all about the upgrade issue. yours may not be upgradeable though.
Seems that whilst they should be able to be upgraded, for some reason, some of them simply can't be upgraded.
Did you specificy that function as part of the deal when you bought the car? if so, if you go back to them, they may do the same as done for CFB Bodsys Brake Bible

Pre-07MY modules cannot be upgraded but the modules can be replaced to give the phonebook over BT functionality

It wasn't my "top of the list" thing to have the phone book on the car, only its a little bit of a pain. I'll see if my old friend Mike Hemmingway can figure it out, he worked for Landrover for years. Thanks anyway Bodsy 90 Defender(Daughter driving at the mo)

Hi
I have a 56my HSE and got my local dealer to upgrade the bluetooth software and it pairs and works from the phones contact list fine. if you store your numbers on the simm card you will need to copy them onto the phone as well. The Landrover kit will not read from the Sim. hope this helps Richard
