Front PDC problem.

My front Park Distance Control has started playing up. Its usually ok for a while, but then it just goes off on one long beep. The only way to stop it is to press the pdc cancel button on the dash. Restart the car and it will be fine for a few miles then beeeeeeeeeep Evil or Very Mad

Anyone had a similar issue? what I should take to bits first?

I have had a similar fault, exactly the same symptons but mine was caused by the rear pdc, turned out one of the sensors was faulty - sensor was replaced under warranty and been fine since. However IIRC the sensor could have ben repaired - one of the wires to the sensor had chafed on something.
