Install Ceiling Mount DVD Rear Entertainment
Hi there,
Have any instructions been posted on here for the installation of a Ceiling Mounted Rear DVD Playing system ? I have searched through the logs and can´t seem to find anything.
What I really need to know is if the required connection wiring is already there by the light fittings, central of the roof lining.... I am thinking about an Alpine unit which needs 4 connections, Battery Live, Grnd, Switched Ignition and a connection for the light (which is built into the Alpine Head Unit).....
Any help would be appreciated.

Hi Scott,
I've just installed two 9" roof-mounted screens yesterday. There is no cabling in place at all. You'll have to do it all yourself.
If you're thinking of the 10.2" Alpine ones, the base is rather large (especially the one with the built-in DVD player).
I fitted these 9" ones and the size is about as big as I could get away with - please note that they do not include DVD players - mine will be connected (this week sometime) to my CarPC:
Under "accessory fitting instructions" then "I.C.E. / Technology" (labeled "DVD system") you will find the sheets that come with the OEM Rear DVD player. This is slightly confusing to me (without words and all) but it may give you an idea of what wiring is required/already fitted.
