Bluetooth and voice control
i have an 2007 56 reg xs with no stat nav and no bluetooth
i have just bought an bluetooth landrover kit which is an module an wiring loom and wheel switch set and a mic number VUB501152
i have an o8 reg xs on loan why mine is being serviced
the kit i have only has one module and the fitting paper show two.
whats the missing module do and do i need to buy it
All so the loan car has an voice switch on the wheel other side to the phone switchs
do i need to buy the voice switch
i think its voice control module which i dont have
if i buy the module will it work like the one i have on loan

Sounds like you have the bluetooth part missing ...unfortunatly the most expensive .
Have you got the box on the left ..if so what is the part number of the unit

Voice control is only available on factory fit PTI ...not the aftermarket kit you have.
You get basic voice commands when you pull the green call buttonG4 Gone ...but not forgotten
i just ran over this again and looks like they have now changed the number from the XVJ500122 to LR006279
No stock at LR at the moment so should have new stock in soon but the price has gone up £222.38 @ retail
They'll never learn TLO has left the building.......

I must say it would of been a shame to discontinue the kit as its very good .
Does that new unit have any special functions , like contacts on the screen ?G4 Gone ...but not forgotten

i have just been out today back spend 2 hours ringing all LR dealers near me to get the nokia unit on the right of the photo
Got the unit today part number is XVJ500122
The unit on the left of the photo is part number XVD50020
is this on old part number or new and is it going to failure

Yep old part number ...the newer one should be XVD500021 ..there was a lot of problems with the old oneG4 Gone ...but not forgotten

Can i buy this module over the counter from landrover on its own or do i have to buy the whole kit with the looms and switch set

You can buy the module on its own ...firstly i would be questioning LR ( if thats were you got the kit ) why they have supplied you with a module thats over a year out of date !!!!
There was even a TSB on this part number listing the faults that were happening ...so its a know fault .
1 year ago this part was £68.00 plus vat ..G4 Gone ...but not forgotten
