Invalid Disc Error
Hello All
I have started to get an Invalid Disc error on all of the cd's in my 6 stack - they are original cd's not copies. Can anyone help with this or know what i need to do to fix the error. I have tried a cd lens cleaner disc but the same message appears and it spits the disc out.

Not heard of that issue, sounds like a duff unit I'm afraid. One for the dealer to sort.

Now that is weired.
I posted a reply (ok a bit flippant, about the EGR being the cause) and got a reply to it - emailed to me. Its gone, as has my reply. Whats going on? Another invalid disc error? D4 SDV6 HSE
The unit probably has a permanent live, so won't go to sleep after 5 minutes like the rest, you could pull the fuses and leave it 10 mins, and see if it resets

Thats good news - I guess I read about this on the DOC - Car from Stratstones via Evans Halshaw?? Not Nottingham by any chance?? I had a duff cd player and it got swapped just over 2-3 weeks ago by them same fault - If you get chance to take out your old unit take a glance and see if my number plate is scratched in the top of it! I am certain the one I got although was working was not new as there were a few surface marks etc that you would not expect to find on a brand new head unit. I came away wondering if they had just swapped it with a stock motor to keep me quiet!! Anyway I scratched my number plate on the old unit top before hand - so I could check it had been replaced on its return to me. You would probably think I am off my trolley suggesting it but after you have read a bit on here you will get the jist....

I totally agree, i do not trust them at all - said car had been serviced, so i took a look at the air filter and err, not changed, so i insisted on a full service and i went with the vehicle and actually watched - they hate me but i dont care. I will be with the truck when the head unit is being done so i will take a look, but it is being done at Marshalls in Lincoln whom i do trust.
