Do I need another spare

Currently, i've got one of those excuses for a spare 'get me home' wheel:blub:

The road set (and originals) i have on at the moment are 18" on scorpions but I've just bought a set of four 255/55/19 MTR's which i'll only put on for play days etc.

Question is, do i need to get another spare for when i put the 19's on or will the 'get me home' spare do?

Thats the thing, it will get you home slowly and thats it. If you have another MTR, you can carry on playing Thumbs Up

its always good to carry another spare. trying to get the normal spare off when off-road is difficult and if stuck in ruts then almost impossible. i'd replace the slimline thing with a proper wheel and pop it in the boot when off road if you dont want to buy another spare.

for getting me out the Censored , although not ideal, i guess it wont matter too much that, if i had to put the spare on, that the tread would be different to the opposite wheel? right? i.e if i had road tyres on and got a flat and put on the spare with a MTR tyre on.

IMHO best to have 2 spares for offroading. If you have one puncture your 1st spare is in the boot so no getting muddy getting the underslung spare out. You do however have a 2nd spare underslung if you are unlucky enough to have a 2nd puncture, then can think it's time to go home. When you think how much you spend on fuel to get offroading, having a 2nd spare means you don't have to head back early.
