Why is this web site so slow? |
|
It seems to be only this site, all the others I browse are much faster, so it is not my PC. I have 20mb broadband, so I don't think it is that either!
Is it just me or do others have the same problem?
When going to the site the browser often justs hangs for a while, same thing happens when going 'back' or to another topic area. Sometimes (quite often) the message that IE cant open the page or site not found comes up too.
Any reason for this - is it the site itself?
It is very annoying

I've had the same over the last few days. Site seems to hang and takes about 10mins to start loading properly again.

It seems to go really slow at times, and will not load, i have tried it at home on Safari, at work on Firefox, and from the laptop on Internet explorer and it is the same issue from all 3!
Maybe we have all been waffling to much and the servers are beginning to feel the strain I believe that every human has a finite number of heart-beats. I don't intend to waste any of mine running around doing exercises.

No problems here, with a massive 2Mb download capability...
EXCEPT when AVG decides to scour the content within an inch of its life. Methinks the common-sense filter is severely challenged from time to time 2006 D3 finally swapped for a 2016 D4 Graphite in Graphite grey. No mods

Yes, I have had a few problems today with the site just disappearing and a error message along the lines of "MySQL has gone away".
Maybe its too cold for the database and its off to the sun,

It is a bit slower than usual and does not serve up all the images at times.
Its probably tired and looking forward to Christmas when it can have a well earned rest while we all eat drink and be merry (well drunk).

Always happens!
After I posted (above) "no problems", it has been very slow, very slow.
So I decided to report this today - and - it's instant response.... 2006 D3 finally swapped for a 2016 D4 Graphite in Graphite grey. No mods
