Car Park Clangers
Although I try to avoid Multi Storey car parks as they tend to be designed for Happy Shopper shoe box size euro box eco-transport, I have had to use some recently as part of my work.
Irrespective of the height barrier saying "Max 2.0m" I drop and lock the suspension at access height. However, when I come to manouvre into a space on full lock there is a metallic noise as the steeing hits it lock stops. To me it sounds like the disc shields are hitting some part of the suspension.
Any Ideas??

Just the bump stops needing greased. If in warranty get dealer to sort, if not (or like getting grubby), it's an easy DIY fix, so I've been told!

synthetic grease (made for push bikes) & bought from Halfrauds.......six months later hasn't washed away
keep the tube of grease in the D3 but as yet not neededBREXIT - done properly.
Right now ...We need Government - not Politics
Save the Dipstick Flagbearer-keep it simple, less likely to fail campaign-agenda items:Starting Handles, Acetylene Lamps.
Founder: Dipsticks-R-Us Inc
D3 HSE-perfectly formed, passenger friendly...has real DIPSTICK
Jag XK-but sadly no DIPSTICK...HUGE design fault
FL2 has DIPSTICK..."real comfort in rear seats"
VW Golf wondermobile (?)..has real DIPSTICK
Morris Minor..original DIPSTICK technology..and a real KEY.

Thanks chaps. I look forward to greasing my stops this weekend.
As always the knowledge of you D3 experts amazes. Perhaps the Stealers should use this site for advice instead of simply looking blank at you when you describe a fault and they claim "never heard of that problem before".
Thanks again.

Know what you mean there. I had a big debate in the reception of our local stealers about timing belts on a TDV6 They were adament it was fitted with a timing chain After they called Technical Support to back them up (which back-fired) they said "well we haven't had to do one yet so that's why we thought it was a chain"
Nothing like good product knowledge to gain customers confidence is there

Harsh!! - why not as the majority of stealerships just have not got a clue what they are doing in the workshop, feedback on the forum proves it!!. I would accept there are still a few credible dealers out there thank god and we value those .
Overall the LR network is a huge shambles and getting worse with every month that goes by.
If your good or better praise - poor or worse deserves bringing to the public eye .
Good thats got that off my chest - thanks DG feel a lot better now and can enjoy my sunday

The one time I had to speak to LRCC here in Australia the bloke I spoke to, when I mentioned this forum, said that LRA considered it 'an illegal site' and banned their employers from looking at it regards

I know that employees and managers from Stratstone read the forum and contribute on a regular basis.

Well I said don't be too harsh because you and they were only half right ...or wrong whichever way you look at it as the secondary drive is provided by chains...is it not 21 year LR veteran > D2 GS 2003 > D3 S 2006 > D3 HSE 2009 > D4 HSE 2013 > D4 HSE 2015 > D5 HSE 2018 > DS HSE R-Dynamic P300e 2021

True but I asked about belts to be replaced on the 105k service and was told there are no belts fitted, only a timing chain. They may have been confused with a Td5. In any case, I haven't seen anything regarding chain renewals in the TDV6 service schedule
