Ouch! That's scary.
Do you know why your battery collapsed? Or should we all be prepared to replace the alternator every time the battery goes?The Bearded Dragon
The first battery just died slowly and did nothing to the car.
This one collapsed all at once. I'd say it was faulty to start with, although battery construction is something I don't really know much about.
Got the fan off tonight. Used a thin screwdriver to hold the viscous thingy in place and then used an adjustable spanner on the nut. Came loose first pop.Have a nice day!

I made up a tool that locates on to two of the bolts and goes aroond the thermostatic fan shaft to lock the pulley while I worked on the fan nut. That was while I was designing the drive takeoff for the winch pump.
