Managed 25k now out of mine , mostly on the motorway, they are now shot down on the wear bars, changing to MT/R's

They are poo tyres. Not as much grip as a Wrangler on road or off. Had three punctures (one repairable), only ever had one with the Wranglers on my 1st D3.
Have managed 25K on them but the only original tyre is very very close to being illeagal. The other three of varying ages have worn quickly.
Moving to AT2's.

Looks very much to me as the Scorpion is the least liked tyre on this Forum.
When you consider it's one of the most expensive and lasts the least milage. Most owners will say if it's good enough to be put on from new it's good enough for them, but as we all know Goodyear and Michelin were fitted from new as well.
This is what we are finding with lots of D3 customers thinking that way, there are other choices, not that many I agree and thats what this "wheels and tyres" part of the forum is all about, to give feed back to others out there looking for new boots.
We are always happy to help with your choices as we know that the wrong choice can be expensive and take between as low as 8K and as high as 38K to get through, as they say "it's horses for courses".
Our experiance with the Scorpion is that we think it's not value for money, but some will disagree.
Andy.

Yep I love Scorpions well ATR's anyhow well worth the dosh
My first set of Scorpions (255/55 R19s) lasted just over 20K miles but the suspension geometry went out due to 'bush settle' (fixed under warranty) and totally knacked all 4 tyres.
New set have now done about 24K miles and tread depth on all is still 4 to 4.5mm so a few miles to go yet .
I like the Scorpions - nice and quiet and loads of grip, especially in the wet.Now an ex-D3 owner after 7 happy years. Miss the car but not the big bills
