Yet to confirm that it is LR approved. Prospective D3 owners wanting to fit a winch have a look here first.Ren Colyn

Glad you like my pictures
I wasn't the first to do this so can't take any credit but I do think it looks great and is a lot cheaper than the LR kit.
The hidden mounts used to be available from Tbruk.com but i think they have stopped doing them. As Ken says, Uncle Ray (aka RLD) now makes the mounts in his workshop. Fitting is pretty easy as it uses the existing bumper bar mount points.
Drop Ray a PM for price of the mount and I can help with install tips as can Wiggs or Chris Tyler.2020 BMW X1 18d XDrive X-Line Auto

Heine no idea on the cost. Maybe the UK guys can throw some light.
The cost of the mount is £275 but getting one to you could cost a lot more.Home of RLD Hidden winch mounts Spare wheel Locks Trailer Body Fabrication ray@rld-tech.co.uk D3/4 sump plates MY 14 sump plates and the Discovery Sport wheel protectors Discovery 5 wheel locks

I can see my line OK and I use synthetic rather than steel so not as big a problem if it overlaps.
Other advantage is that you don't have to chop away half the bumper to fit a hidden mount, just a slot for the line to feed through which is easily covered with a number plate plinth.2020 BMW X1 18d XDrive X-Line Auto

Pity I had the LR one fitted.
A point of interest.... How does the new ARB unit accommodate your front PDC??? In my case with the LR winch, the stealer disabled the PDC. From info on the forum, I am taking it back to him to enable it again He must fit the two center sensors & seal them off with prestick in a plastic bag. Only the two outer sensors will then be active.Ren Colyn

ARB
Aubrey, at last, your Disco will look even better with the ARB!
I do not use my front PDC with the ARB. It is too difficult to drill holes in the ARB for the PDC. I found the front PDC really annoying in any case.
