I have watched the symptoms of the engine and I have seen that the sound of the engine at first start in the morning it’s not the same. Before when I start the engine first time in the morning, a powerful sound, in the good way may be heart from the engine, like it was an engine turbo 12 cylinder in V and not a simple 6 V. This beautiful sound can be heart for 200 meters and then the engine sound normal. Now, when the yellow led appears (engine), these sounds in the morning disappear and the car runs normal.

This noise sounds like the viscous fan and it's normal to hear it in colder weather for the first 200-300 metres after starting the car, but I'm not sure about the yellow lights that you are seeing.... 2006 Discovery 3 TDV6 SE Auto Buckingham Blue

Yes, right viscous fans, absolutely precise. But why when this warning it’s on board sound disappear. Yesterday morning, the sound it was and no warning on board (yellow engine icon). Then, in the evening engine warning appears while driving, no modifications to the car, it remains appear on board, it’s still there and no sound in the morning. I call the man from reception at Land Rover and this says to me that the access of air in the engine it’s made through some sensors and maybe one of them its sending fault messages to the computer. Anyway I will observe the comportment of the car and I will post observations and the solution given at Land Rover on the 29 December.

EGR failure can give yellow warning indicator - probably the commonest thing causing it for people here. However if the car is running properly........maybe not.
