Castrol GTX Professional A3 10w-40 A3/B3 - Is this right? |
|
Sorry, yet another oil thread but I could not find this oil listed anywhere on here. Just had first years service done and dealer left me a complimentary bottle of oil in the car. Castrol GTX Professional A3 10w-40 ACEA A3/B3 API SL/CF.
As far as I can see it does not meet the specifications in the handbook but I am no oil expert. Can anyone advise if this is OK to use?

Istr a3/b3 is correct, but should be 5w30...... Looks like they've used the wrong viscosity. Bodsys Brake Bible

Thanks Bodsy. Is the incorrect viscosity something I should raise with the dealer or is it safe to assume they know what they are doing so it will be fine?
