It's a standard feature on the HSE (since 2006 my) and having had it, I would pay for the option if LR delete it as standard as it is a brilliant feature. Takes a bit of getting used to though and I miss it when I drive other cars.
Shhhhhhhhhhhhhh dont say things like that as they count on people doing that just like the cool box

Its a lamp that points sideways - lights up as you indicate or as you turn the steering wheel a fair way without indicating. Throws a light out sideways from the car.Disco 5 HSE Lux

i had all sorts of trouble with an old spec 07 HSE which was bulit with halogen headlamps a couple weks ago and we tried to get upgraded to Xenon with just cornering lamps but not adaptive which according to LR technical was possible with a bit of help from LR engineering but when i tried to get the headlamps (Xenon with cornering) i had a reply from purchasing that these had never been supplied to LR by the lamp manufacturer...apparently this spec of lamp was never take up by LR TLO has left the building.......

I'm not aware of the cornering lamp being available seperately from the adaptives.
On the D3 it isn´t, on the RRS it is a seperate spec item and can be fitted with non-adaptive xenons as on our RRS MY07 HSE.Cheers

Ha! Could never see why fit cornering lamps and adaptives as both are methods of shaping the beam around the corner, but then again my D2 had both levelling headlamps and levelling suspension..... Cheers

The formats do different things ..both of which work quite well in practice
hmm are the cornering bulbs halogen? as far as the bulb part goes is it a matter of just taking out the blanking plate and getting the right socket?
That looks like something quite niffty to have.

Watch out, I >think< I remember seeing comment that cornering lamps are illegal in the US or some US states as a result of a legal action by a pedestrian???
