My D3 has been with Barretts Landrover of Ashford since New Years Day. The LRA Engineer visited my dealership yesterday, authorised the Warrenty repair and it now has been Escilated by LR. What does this mean? and relistically how long could my D3 be away.
And for information, YES, most dealerships in Kent so I am told remove the body for Turbo replacement. Looks odd TBH, mine is already seperated, Chassis on it wheels, and body 12 ft up which was no good for me as I needed documents out of the glovebox

TLO will be best to tell you exact meaning of terminology - but I'm guessing that it means they are prioritising the part delivery. Various stages of priority - the highest being a take one from production !! "To finish first, one first has to finish ...."

i am expecting that the turbo is ot of stock then
Make sure your dealer is aware that you know the process of critical part upgrade and that if you need to contact LRCS that you need the sequence number so can you give it to me...(That will mak them stand up and take notice) That number will confirm they have the order on it's highest priority
And we don't take the body off for any reason......especially not a turbo replacement...there's no need TLO has left the building.......
I no longer work for a Landrover Dealer

I was on the phone to my dealers about a turbo today for another project im working on and aparently they are not in stock at LR
And i agree with "The Large One" there is noneed to take the body of to fit a turbo, they are a total pain in the rear to fit but you can do it with the body on 100%
Regards Pete

Well good news here at last
After contacting LR customer relations, cheers for the lead RONP, they agreed to sort this out for me, and dispatched a BRAND NEW turbo from production. It arrived this afternoon, and now Barretts are trying their hardest to return my toy before they close on Saturday
So far my dealings with Barretts of Ashford all have been polite and informing. I cannot yet quote on their workmanship but can only add that they have had my vehicle since New Years Day and knew about the flickering O/S xenon that was diagnosed as a Switch failure, and the cruise control wiring needed to be replaced, yet they have'nt done nowt to it yet, leaving them a mountain to climb to return it to me by Saturday
