replaceing steering wheel
I'm going to change the steering wheel on my GS as I don't like it and miss my leather one
Has anyone done this, if so whats involved and is there any pics on the subject.

Its straight forward.
Air bag out and a few trims and the main nut, see pics.

Should have a 'upgrade' to a heated steering wheel available soon, just waiting for the necassary parts to become available and the guinea pig 90BHP to let me at his D3 with a grinder

I changed mine for a leather one,easy job just take yr time and its very straight forward. Comes off very easily once you have got over the bomb in yr hand thats the airbag module (joking).
See separate thread on retro fitting audio controls on the steering wheel for the how to make the tool to release the airbag module (1 coat hanger and a bit of bending,sounds blue peter stuff but really good and it works!!!)
