Maybe caused by shorter cable runs to the LH ones (due to CJB, BJB being on LHS), so less voltage drop. A longer cable run to the right hand mirror and nozzle may be causing a slightly lower voltage at the heater element, therefore lower temperature. Possibly Previously:

No thanks DG - that's an offer I only accept from the ladies... LRs are a fond memory, apart from the maintenance.

Greater wind chill on one side of the vehicle? park it the other way round a couple of times to check

ANd TFC is not wrong (then again - has he ever been known to be wrong...?) - I've experienced the same over the last couple of weeks and it does differ depending which way round the car is parked. The next American ex-pat that calls it a "truck" is going to find out what 2.7 tons feels like on their foot...

Club "yes, I too have had EPB failure..."
Club "yes, I too get mysterious bings and bongs..."

It's a special feature of the right hand drive version to help the driver. If you checked with someone on the continent you would find it was the other way round
I think you must have the wrong one for the UK.

Sorry, but this time TFC that's definitely not it. I've been playing around with this since last winter and it doesn't matter which way round or where we park the D3, it' always the passenger side that defrosts first, and must faster. Could the relay have two channels - just wondering as both the Mirrors & Nozzles share the same relay - i.e. one channel per side?
The hot air from the passenger also doesn't work Dunc as it's often just one of us in the car - but nice call LRs are a fond memory, apart from the maintenance.

The whole system is run via the ATCM module and is governed by the ambient air temp sensor and whether or not the wipers are on 21 year LR veteran > D2 GS 2003 > D3 S 2006 > D3 HSE 2009 > D4 HSE 2013 > D4 HSE 2015 > D5 HSE 2018 > DS HSE R-Dynamic P300e 2021
Hi there MrH. What is the difference in time between the two sides. ie marginal or a minute or so?
It's at least 90-120 seconds before the RH mirror/nozzle starts to defrost, at which point the LH is virtually frost free

WIpers are on Auto normally, but during frost we usually turn them off so they're not shredded by the ice, other than than what's the ATCM module LRs are a fond memory, apart from the maintenance.
