how do i remove my badges?

Hi All,

Now i have my disco 3 i want to get it as good as possible. Any idea how i remove the landrover letters from the bonnet? i also wish to remove the oval badges from the radiator grill and rear door so i can give the car a good polish before winter sets in. a couple of the letters on the bonnet are a bit worn and need replacing. How do i do this? i read that you can use a heat gun but not sure about that. i don't want to damage my bodyeork. as much help as possible would be greatly appreciated.
 Many Thanks
David

Hair dryer, not a heat gun! (unless you want the paint off as well obvo)

Warm letters with a hot hairdryer and then use dental floss (best way) or thin fishing line (not quite as good) to work under the letters to cut through and under the glue.

maybe the heat gun would be the best way to remove the LR logo from the steering wheel airbag Rolling Eyes

Here you guys are removing your badges and lettering, and I'm putting some on mine.

I'm removing the LR3 lettering from the rear and putting the proper Discovery 3 lettering on, the way it should be.

Anyone want the old LR3 letters to make it look like a North American vehicle?

I removed my badges by using a waxed dental floss and getting it under the adhesive backing. I will take a lot of elbow grease, but it works great! I then used goo gone adhesive remover for the stubborn left-over adhesives.

with a few extra letters LAND ROVER could become RANDY LOVER

or RANGE ROVER could become ROAD RAGER

Mr. Green

But that's not enough letters.

I need it to spell Watery Fowls, or Farty Towels, even Flowery Censored .

hot water does the trick every time. If you're careful you can maintain the integrity of the glue on the back..... Thumbs Up
