Mozambique Fuel Quality
I'm heading up to Bartholomew Diaz in December (30km's past Inhassoro). What's the fuel quality in Moz like, assuming we'll be buying from "main" filling stations, and not guys selling out of drums.

I would get one of Hiene,s filter things. Never had trouble in pre D3 days . If SA cannot get the fuel right i doubt they can. D3 is a bit of a clean fuel snob. Presume you are a TDV6.

Yup, MY06 TDV6, so not concerned about the small fuel filter.

I would strongly suggest getting a racor filter funnel . Even if you fuel filter catches it , the filter would probably need replacing once or twice before the problem is resolved (at about R1200 per pop) . The funnel was about R550 IIRC . Even is the car is under warranty you have all the grief that could have been avoided . Ask Deondef about this

With a bit of luck the racor funnel filter would also cath the goo that clogged the strainer in my tank. You dont want that far away from home.
