Alternator failure

I have a discovery 3 that has shown a battery not charging in the dash and the battery is not charging as tested with voltmmeter on the battery. Is that definaely an alternator failure as I see there are 3 control wires connecting it . The 5 A fuse in the fuse box is OK...

Sounds like the vehicle's self diagnostics are correct
