MPG - again, manual vs auto
Well after my old 55 plate manual did (generally) 28.5 when motorway blasting, and 26.5 knocking around town, I'm a tad disappointed in the 09 auto. Whilst I did expect it to be worse than the manual, on a blast it was at 27, which I can live with, but 21.5 around town is bloody awful.
re-map maybe??

Doesn't it take a while for the car to adapt to different styles of driving? Just thinking it might be worth giving it a little time before shelling out for a remap.
I found the opposite my old 56 plate Manual did around 29 on a run and 25ish around town my MY08 Auto does around 31 on a run and about 26ish around town.
Cheers,
YTA

Patience indeed, and a bit more running-in.
I'm now averaging 31 - 32 mpg, mixed pottering about and motorway driving with my 57 plate SE auto, now just coming up to 20k
I guess the patience bit comes in with resisting the temptation to burn off the boy racers from the lights every time, it's just occasionally now. Clive

We've just been on a trip over to Andorra with another 4 D3's, two manuals and three auto's. The manuals returned 35 and the auto's high 20's, this was at a constant 60-65.

also found its got "stealth mode"
coming home last night (in the dark), I booted it hard away from some lights - it went away very nicely, but the cars behind disappeared in the smoke!! My manual never put this much crap out, even with right welly burried in the carpet.
Think it needs plugging into something for a few checks
