| Yorkshire, main dealer first service |

Hi
D3 is due it's first service next month so just seeking any comments on which of following main dealers you would go to by choice based on quality of service and customer service / aftercare. Not too worried about price since I think I know the target price I need to negotiate from comments on site just want to make sure I go to a technically excellent stealer.
Armstrong Massey, York
Farnell, Guiseley
Ripon LR, Ripon
Guy Salmon, Leeds

i have always been looked after by Armstrong Massey service department, but they have had to price match other dealers to keep me

Not tried the others but Guy Salmon at Wakefield have always been superb!
They are my supplying dealer and are always ultra-helpful, always clean the car, have new loaner cars available (FOC) and leave a little 'surprise' for you in the glove-box!
True LR enthusiasts too.
Give them a call & ask for Scott.

dont know about others but my local garage is Rocar Moores in Huddersfield. I have had first class service from there over the last few months. In fact, on friday, service went beyond the norm, dont know whether this had anything to do with the new disco3 letters in bright orange down the side.
To be fair to them, i had some issues that would not be covered under warranty but they have "hidden" the costs so i am paying very little.

Can't complain with service we've had from GS @ Leeds
Courtsey car provided (have had a FL2 and a D3) without issues
Car cleaned/valetted, issues resolved etc
2nd yr service cost wasn't to bad either - Book price was £425, paid £349
I believe that GS @ Wakefield ahve a pretty good reputation too.

I have used Rocar Moores for over ten years across a whole number of Discos - I haven't ever had any cause for complaint
Graham the Rocar service supremo is very knowledgeable & has gone out of his way to help on more than one occasion...technically I cannot fault them...they must be trusted as I know they have had numerous LR development cars sent there for long term test.
......I haven't had to deal with the sales side ever as all my cars (bar 1) bought at Hurst's in Belfast....by choice...they have always come up with the best deals by far BREXIT - done properly.

I'm midway between Hull and York, and it's definitely worth the trip I make down to Duckworths in North Lincolnshire (and that's past two other main dealers). Main dealer, but family owned and LR enthusiasts. Can't fault them - superb. Couple of others on here use them and will back me up on that.

I've started using Stratstones in Stockton.
They'll price match any dealer in the country,
and always on the ball and very keen to get your business.
So far so good ... not the usual Sh!tstone service.
And they come all the way down to 10mile south of Thirsk to collect.
Mines in with them on Thurs for service.
Any problems and I'll be amending this post.

Thanks for all your helpful comments. Now have D3 booked in at a competitive rate (I think) with one of the recommendations with a couple of very minor warranty items. Will let you know what happens. Hopefully all good.
