Key reprogramming / reproduction

Hi,

I lost my spare key.
I saw some key's on ebay. If the frequency is the same, is it then possible to reprogram them to my car? Where can I buy the steel inserts (steel key that goes in the slot).

Cheers,

Quirin

Answered in your LRC post: http://lrchroniclepub.proboards29.com/inde...1139783623

"You might be able to buy a blank key insert and have a key maker cut it. Also, the dealer will need to "program" the vehicle for the key immobilizer chip and the keyfob remote. They'll probably charge you some labor."

Maybe someone here has another answer, though...
