1st experience of LRA..... |
|
Gave them a call to come out & diagnose why my engine cuts out when I try overtaking anything or pulling away mildy too fast.....
Called LRA at 12.24, explained I'd like a tech and not a tow truck
Whilst on the phone, 'Laura' explained what would happen & then checked the engineer's schedule. She said she'd book him in and call back to confirm.
13:38 she called back to confirm they did have a tech, but he's on a job and therefore if I'm happy to wait he'll come to me, but will fall outside of their 60-90minute target. Checked if I was happy with that.
14:29 engineer called to apologise that he was running slightly late & would be there in 15 minutes
14:36 LRA called to see if my issue had been resolved yet
14:47 tech arrives and does his diagnostics, nice chape, gives me the options of what I could do (recover to Shrewsbury etc) and a bit of a chat and I agreed (as I'd intended) that it will go to Yeovil when they do my service later in the month.
15:15 I'm back at my desk & tech has gone after finding various fault codes, main one being P2290-00 Fuel Injector controller pressure too low (or somethign similar to that description anyway). Checked for any obvious leaks or disconnected cables in the ngine bar etc.
I'd sent the info to Yeovil and they're on the case ready for a couple of other warranty niggles and a very reasonably priced 45k service (inc Brake fluid).
Yeovil being their usual efficecient selves of course replied back swiftly.
All in all a good experience 9other than the fault itself!
