New Post link...
Anyone else seeing that recently the New Post link if book marked, does not show all the thread updates since the forum was last visited ???
Just got back in and not been on the site all day... only showed me 4 updated threads... used the show new threads link for the last 12hrs (on the home page) and got a much larger (and assume more accurate) list of updated threads.

weird... as far as I know a bookmark will just travel to the URL and display its contents.... browser and OS have nothing to do with it (to the other's who are so anti a decent OS ) and unless something is refreshed in the background, the URL only gets updated when the bookmark is selected.

However... the "New Posts" page is a search, which tries to show you all the posts since you last visited.
Therefore it needs your cookie/session data to find out when you were last here, and it is this part of the process which fails.
It's the same problem that plagues the New Posts page - that the method of finding when you were last here is very hit and miss.

Think I found something that may be related . One of my PC's had the anti virus set to clear cookies . I've now disabled that option and things seem to be better

If I hit safari button on my iPhone, it usually starts to go to the site, so if I hit it by accident, then It thinks I've been on when I haven't really.....Bodsys Brake Bible
