Unexpected additional services from Yeovil |
|
Quite apart from sourcing me a new transfer box and arranging to lend me a car while they "get it nailled into place" I was pleasantly surprised by another service offered by TLO that previously hasn't featured on this forum.
You see, last night I forgot to set my alarm clock Who should come to the rescue? Yup, TLO. 06:15 this morning my phone rang, getting me out of bed in plenty of time for another day of public sector pension frivolity. Sadly I didn't get to answer it in time to thank the man, so from all those public sector pensioners who's retirement incomes are being (ahem) corrected by my team, a big
One small request though. Next time, could you make it closer to 06:00 please?
Ta! I know it's not considered "kind" to say no these days, but no. Just no, ok? And if it's not ok, still no.

i use me phone as an alarm call
this morning in a blurry stupper i pressed some buttons to turn it off and then heard a dialling tone and the sound or ringing
Phone then went into hyper speed dial mode of some sort and i thought who was that i was ringing
as it seemed to start to dial everyone in my phone book..
Looks like you were first up Al....Sorry buddy...
I then quickly switched it off and only turned it on when i got into work to save the WTF yo calling me this morning phone call.
Right, now who else have i got mobile numbers for that could do with a wake up call
it, if i'm up the so should everyone else

And there was me thinking Yeovil LR were one of the few dealers you could trust to let you sleep peacefully at night I believe that every human has a finite number of heart-beats. I don't intend to waste any of mine running around doing exercises.

Hey Nick, no worries bud, I genuinely had forgot to set the alarm so you did me a favour
Not sure I'll be telling Stel that you got me up this morning though - she already has "an opinion" on some of the emails you and Mr F send I know it's not considered "kind" to say no these days, but no. Just no, ok? And if it's not ok, still no.

It's all to do with the initials, Al.
I seem to get all the "bum-dials" from anyone with my number (My nephew runs a Disco(theque) under the name of Aardvaark to capitalise on this
Personally, my first contact has the Name "Aaa" and the telephone number "3" - so if it does its own thing with the contacts list, it gets nowhere.
Strange thing is - whenever I get one of these "bum-dial" calls, their bum doesn't want to talk to me...
PS Hi, Nick - might be calling in your favourite toolshop in June - SWMBO wants to see Martock again; funnily enough so do I 2006 D3 finally swapped for a 2016 D4 Graphite in Graphite grey. No mods

On a similar line, I had some bloke park right across my drive preventing me from getting out. Now I'm not talking a couple of minutes, he was parked there for about 5 hours. When I heard him shutting the door to drive off, I went out to "have a word" his girlfriend leaned across and locked his door, he just laughed at me and drove off.
Now you may be feeling sorry for me at this point, well don't. The bloke had neglected to think about the "for sale" sign he had up in his car with his mobile number on it. I'd tried it on the night, but the phone was off. A few weeks later when I was up at 4am though it wasn't! I enquired about his car and was it still for sale, he said it was, to which I replied "Well I'm not surprised, Saxo's are cars and in that disgusting orange yellow colour it looks like someone has thrown up on it" I then heard him try and understand what I'd said before I hung up!

Always have a couple of long tow ropes available Stu. A belay pull of a handy lamp post or telegraph pole can be a wonderful thing
