It is a brave man who ignores the devious nature of a loss adjustor.

That's quite true winger, but then history only remembers the brave and their achievements.

the loss adjuster will only find a problem if the mod you have done has increased the value of the vehicle and therefore you have not paid for the increased risk.
Seems from your post you think that adding accessories would not affect the price of the SE, which makes sense, so the insurance is a red herring.
Doesn't hurt to check though.

No, that is not what I meant. When you take out insurance on a vehicle, you are asked if it has been modified in any way. There is a reason for being asked that question.

And if found to have misinformed or not informed the ins company, they are in their rights not to pay out at all. Always worth telling them.

In this context using after market LED bulbs, tinited windows, drilled and grooved discs etc all come into this insurance debate, at a far higher level than anything done using BBS. How many people tell their insurance about this.
Perfomance modifications are far more of a concern to the insurance. I think people are gettting far to caught up in trying to discredit the BBS than anything else. You could say the same about adding front parking sensors. The insurance company will simply not pay out for the extra value of not declared, they won't not pay out. Regardless of whether they are approved by Land Rover or not the insursance by law has to show they had a detrimental affect on the vehicle in order not to pay out.
Simon it clears you don't like the BBS, you don't need to try and find every reason to put people off

err... I didn't bring up insurance. I just commented on it, and in those comments I cannot find the words BBS or anything negative. Seems having an opposing view is becoming unacceptable territory to enter recently.

Your right Simon it was wrong to pick up on your comment specifically for which I apologise . But there has been a number of anti comments, which I fear could put people off before we get a chance to evaluate it properly.

I think its a moot point with stuff like 4x4 info and upgraded stereo. How would they know and how would it effect their risk ?.
