Ripon LR - excellent service |
|
One happy customer...
Just had a 3yr/45k service completed, plus some other bits I asked to be looked at:
1. excessive play in the steering... new track rod ends were needed/fitted, & she now drives like new
2. cabin temp starts to drop after 20mins... new a/c sensor fitted - cured!
3. "sticky" steering wheel... new one fitted without quibble.
All done under warranty (1 month left ).
Some new software must also have been uploaded (not that I asked for it), as the throttle response lag the car has always suffered from since it was new (especially when setting off from standstill) has vanished.
Given an FL1 courtesy car for 48 hrs (& without any of that insurance suppliment nonsense).
Very friendly, helpful staff.
...and the best bit? all the above for £285 incl vat As I'll be keeping the car for another 2 yrs at least (& probably getting the Tesco Finest warranty cover), I had seriously considered seeking out a good independent, but for the sake of saving what would be no more than 50 quid p.a., I don't see the point.
Ripon LR every time
I'm sure it's been said somewhere on the site before, but, IMHO, the FL1 is a total disgrace to drive, or perhaps I should say "skipper": it's like a barge at sea. But, under the above circumstances, so what! Getting back in the D3 after 2 days in the Bay of Biscay was a surefire way to re-establish DGRR
