Steve

Just pull the plastic cover to one side with the logo on it and there is a torqx screw underneath it, just remove this and then it just slide out from the top pulling towards the centre of the car.
Just be gentle as there is an airbag inside it that stays on the pillar.

I think he means the front outside black trim. Not sure how to remove it but make sure you replace all broken clips that hold it in or you'll end up with water in your footwell.

Sorry not sure, but IIRC after removal new clips may be required to ensure it doesn't fly off on the motorway . .

Basically it comes off with a good tug.
But first you have to remove the rubber trim on the windscreen wiper panel under the bonnet and give it a bit of a tug too to let you get the bit of the "a" pillar trim out from underneath it.

Not easy to explain in text but once you open the bonnet I'm sure it will become obvious.

The A panel trim is held by these dreaded little white plastic plug type fixings, one of which I managed to break while doing what I was doing , however managed to transplant one from elsewhere.
Something that doesn't drink diesel and doesn't cost a bloody fortune everytime it needs serviced / fixed. But hey ....I got a deal from the leasing company on my D3 that you guys can only dream about !

If the plastic locating pin at the top breaks, as had done on mine you will need to replace the plastic trim. From memory not too expensive, comes with all the clips.
There is no such thing as bad weather, only the wrong clothes.
