I'm looking for some sill tread plates. I'm not really keen on the LR chromed ones. Does anyone know of any alternatives?

Tazmods.
Put that in the site search and you'll find threads on the subject I know it's not considered "kind" to say no these days, but no. Just no, ok? And if it's not ok, still no.

Hi
I tried to get Tasmods with no success but bought these http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Land-Rover-Discovery...7C294%3A30 which are great, I believe they are actually Tasmods that have been mass produced, they are the cheapest I could find and the quality is 2nd to none. They're def NOT tasmods sills,
this guy copied him with much cheaper versions. Whilst they will still do the job, the Tasmod ones are of a much higher standard. i.e. the edges are all rounded rather than the sharp edges on those.
they're still better than no sills at all Bodsys Brake Bible

Oddly enough I got around to refitting the sill plates from my old car onto the new one at the weekend. It's only taken me 10 months I know it's not considered "kind" to say no these days, but no. Just no, ok? And if it's not ok, still no.

You want to start taking it easy mate, thought you didn't rush around like that in Dorset.

Tasmod posted this on the RRS forum -
http://www.rrsport.co.uk/forum/post196257.html#196257
In which he says -
Quote:For info for all, buy the ones on ebay, they are exactly the same as I have passed over the design etc to them.
They can bulk produce hence cost.
Cheers,

I bought and installed steel Sill plates ( ebay item eBay Item No. 220421219717) last week. Part mirror, part polished finish with either a Discovery 3 inscription or private inscription for about GPP 40.00.
Look great and easy to install.

I'm after some sill protectors, but would rather have rubber (like the floor mats) than chrome/metal, I can't seem to find anyone who makes them. Next step (rubbish pun intended) is to look for some 3-5mm rubber with self adhesive backing, any ideas on a good source?
cheers
