Ehhh ...we are currently gaining 5 to 10 users per day .....the user numbers have grown from 500 to 6500+ since I joined in December 2005. I think it's just normal turnover TBH 21 year LR veteran > D2 GS 2003 > D3 S 2006 > D3 HSE 2009 > D4 HSE 2013 > D4 HSE 2015 > D5 HSE 2018 > DS HSE R-Dynamic P300e 2021

normal turnover
even with the DSC only partially disabled I was under the impression that it would never become a ' normal ' thing

Sign of the financial climate perhaps, D3 is without doubt an expensive vehicle to run and if finances are stretched then it would understandably be the first thing to be changed. Also a few members are aligning themselves for a D4 and now is seen as the best time to sell the D3 before values drop following it's launch later in the year and maybe some of the guys with earlier models don't need / or want the risk without an expensive extended warranty etc.
Me ............. I love the car so hopefully I'll be keeping mine for another year, till 3 years old at least then review the options then.

Wot DG said
The thing is that the majority of users that haven't been that involved with the site will probably just leave without saying anything and we won't notice.
When users that have posted a lot leave, they tend to say goodbye and it seems that we're losing 'one of the family' so you probably notice it more.
A lot of these recently departed/departing long-time-members will probably have had 3 year leases or similar that are now coming to an end and are moving onto new pastures due to the current economic/environmental climate...all completely normal....
It's sad to see them 'leave the fold', but the number of new users joining and saying hello for the first time is still quite amazing 2006 Discovery 3 TDV6 SE Auto Buckingham Blue

I think the D3 apart from fuel is one of the cheapest cars I have run so far in terms of spares, servicing, insurance etc
