Cheers for the thought mate! Derek (DSL) has that particular one covered form me so I'm sorted. It was a long way south of you to start anyway.
"Over to the right a bit".......... I recall in the early 70's Torridon could easily be a 6-7 hour trip from my bit over here on the right
Just checked Autoroute and it still says it would take over 5 hours today!!! Mind you,....... I could do it in less than 3....... The older I get, the more I realise that people confuse wrinkles for wisdom

I recall when I lived in Scotland and was a manager for a company based in Eastbourne.
When travelling between Glasgow and Edinburgh late one afternoon, an office based accounts director asked if I could just "pop up to Aberedeen" to collect a cheque from a customer.
Totally detached, they have no idea, do they!...... always on the road less travelled 🚧

I've a much better one than that.
In my corporate days, I was being chauffeured from Bexley to Heathrow for a flight to Aberdeen. When I arrived at the airport, one of the girls in the office called me to say that the Aberdeen flight was fog-bound and hence she was getting me on a flight to the next nearest airport.
Before I could ask where she was sending me, she asked if there was a bridge from Shetland to Aberdeen.......
She said she was looking at the map and reckoned it couldn't be all that far from Unst to Aberdeen City as they were very close indeed. So close in fact, she couldn't understand how Aberdeen could be fog-bound but the 'other place' wasn't.
In fact, Unst is almost as far from Aberdeen by air as Heathrow is in the opposite direction.
Try explaining the cartographers term 'INSET' to a London office girl as you walk towards the BA desk in Heathrow The older I get, the more I realise that people confuse wrinkles for wisdom
