Is it easier to fit tubes than side steps. I'm taking off my side steps and fitting tubes. My last girlfriend was on the small side but now ive upgraded to a leggy blonde i dont need the steps anymore. I havent even opened the box lazy I know but do they just bolt on ?
Cheers

Three brackets each side with a total of about 11 bolts. You need a round hole in the plastic sill covers and a "security" 8 mm allen key, unless you swap the two security bolts for normal ones.
I think the brackets for tubes are different to those for steps. Too much intellectual firepower can damage your common sense.

if your steps have been on from new Googsy, it may take you a while to separate them from the vehicle end of an era ....... maybe a Defender when it appears.......

Dunc : If your tube brackets are not needed, I would be interssted as mine are a little bent.

Googsy: I'm afraid I jumped in for the brackets. I assumed you had the fitting when you mentioned you hadn't got them out of the box. Mine are bent so I was looking to replace them. However, if you are stuck without them.......................................................... Too much intellectual firepower can damage your common sense.

Sounds like your need for Duncs brackets is greater than mine. I'll step aside and let you have them. I guess I'll try and straighten mine. Too much intellectual firepower can damage your common sense.
