Strangest Place for your EPB to lock on!!
This could be interesting i was wondering where the strangest place was that you all had your EPB lock on after squeeling.Somewhere inconvienent, embaressing or dangerous
I will start the ball rolling with mine
Highland Wildlife park Kingussie------------
in the wild animal enclosure
Granted there was nothing there that would eat me and my daughter but the Bison were becoming mighty p d off with the awful sreech that was coming from the EPB so much soo that they were coming to investigate Now my daughter thought this would be a good photo oppertunity where as i was wondering how long i would have to keep the car switched off and locked to try and clear all the bongs and flashing of lights so we could make our escape
Managed to release the brake and get out of dodge, glad i wasn't in the lion enclosure at Blair Drummond Its not the height of the fall but the sudden stop at the bottom that hurts!!

Twice for me,
First D3 on M6 lane 2 about 10:30pm, nearly set in fire
So I call LRA and they let me down by saying that they would be with me within the next 4Hrs,
(Wife and 3 kids standing on embankment in the rain) so I called a very nice man and the AA helped us out within 20 Min's
Second D3 on a camp site in Wales about 6am
and just as I try to work out WTF that noise was I tried it again
I was given evils all week by fellow campers, but the local dealer soon sorted it all out,110 XS Utility

Premier Inn car park, Grimsby at 2.30 AM on a Friday morning.
Had just finished moving 3 storage tanks 8.6 m diameter 14m tall, from Immingham Dock to Total Lindsey Refinery closing the road taking after removing traffic lights, signs and street furniture etc, etc.
Pulled into the hotel car park in Grimsby feeling hungry and k ered. Pulled on the EPB and woke probably 90% of the hotel guests(?).
Amazing number of lights went on in the rooms which was quite entertaining sights there were too until people realised curtains were open and lights were on. Good show....
Switched everything off and locked it up until the morning..... FORECAST FOR TONIGHT: things have happened out there!!!
The countryside is still OURS!!

remember that one - you held up a whole stream of D3's at the time - sadly I seem to recall that lane is no longer a BOAT so can never happen again Steve N | 21MY Defender | 08MY Discovery 3 (history) | 06MY Discovery 3 (ancient history)

What happens when the brake locks on, does it just sort itself out?
I've never had to read all the EPB threads as, touch wood, we've never had that fault.2007 Porsche Boxster (987) 2.7

At a busy junction at the traffic lights (yes - it was on a slope when the EPB finally gave up... ).
Stuck on - and couldn't manually release...1.5 hours before the assist turned up... The next American ex-pat that calls it a "truck" is going to find out what 2.7 tons feels like on their foot...
Club "yes, I too have had the EGR's replaced..."
Club "yes, I too have had the compressor replaced..."
Club "yes, I too once had the car at the dealer for a couple of weeksnearly 4 weeksover 4 weeks...5 weeks"
Club "yes, I too have had EPB failure..."
Club "yes, I too get mysterious bings and bongs..."

I never use the EPB for anything but parking on a slope; never to hold the car at a temporary halt.
