I had the pleasure of Iain fixing my 'oil in the brake vacum' problem on Sunday
I paid Iain on Sunday and passed invoice to Tesco's at 08.55 this morning and Tesco's agreed to pay the full amount less £4 for a vacum pipe at 09.41 this morning, despite me forgetting to ask Iain to call Tesco's on Monday AM
So, morale of the story is TFC for service and Tesco for warranty, no problem, no hassle

Hi Adam,
I too have the deaded oil in the pipe with slight issues with the brake pedal. What parts did replace in the end please? I am just about to go down this route and would appreciate some more info before tackling Tesco's
Thanks

TFC replaced Brake Booster, Brake Booster Vac Pump and Vac Pipe
Tesco declined the claim on the pipe (at £4.46 will not lose much sleep) but paid everything else, including labour
I really cannot recomend TFC enough - Top Bloke and I was staggered at the speed of Tesco, given the crap I had with Land Rover extended warranty last year
Depending on who / where your having the job done, I'd call Tesco's first and advise them of what you are doing and they will gived details of how to claim
Good luck

Thanks for the really prompt reply Adam. I agree with you Iain provides a brilliant service (he did the 3 year for me a little while ago - when to be honest he showed me the vauum pipe was starting to get oil in it)
Cheers

TFC was due to replace my suspension compressor recently but in the end i had to have it repaired at the main dealer because Tesco flagged up my claim for a random assessment before authorising the repair and insisted they could not assess on my driveway for H&S reasons so I had to cancel TFC, which me right off.
So took it to the dealers, left it with them, they reported the diagnosis to Tesco who authorised immediately without sending an assessor! So although the repair itself went fine I was annoyed at Tesco for giving me the runaround. Badda bing.......How you doin'?

Adam's work didn't include the Brake master cylinder or brake fluid repacement as the level of oil contamination didn't affect those components, although I had the materials required at the time of repair - strange they wouldn't pay for the vac. pipe
I'm happy to carry out work under a 3rd party warranty (excluding LR extended as they insist you use dealers) but it will be on a 'pay & claim' basis due to the ridiculous H&S limitations
The stupid thing about Goodfella's compressor issue is that (had I had chance to give Tesco the price) I was £120 cheaper than the dealer price
