No terrain response and will not lower |
|
2004 Auto, no terrain settings are actively working and the vehicle will raise but not lower. The vehicle will only lower (after i have raised it) automatically when i go over the LR safety speed (say 30mph). Started after offroading 2 weeks ago, however i did leave the sun roof open the night before and it got a ickle wet inside but i used all the setting off roading the day after for about 8 hours at it was fine. it was the day after the off roading
Any suggestions?

Hi Tony, hope you had a good holiday
Sounds to me like it might be the upy downy switch, except yours is not doing the downy bit..... The surest sign that intelligent life exists elsewhere in the universe is that none of it has tried to contact us yet.

Thx Nodosh, will give the thread a read and report any changes
Cheers Snowy, had a wicked time, lots of wine and good grub, drove down but obviously did not need the terrain response although a trailer would have been good for all the wine we brought back
would the downy button effect the terrain response, i have also disconnected the battery and waited 30 mins then reconnected it, but that did not work either. will hunt around the forum for and answer and may remove the centre console to see what underneath and if there is water i there.

Can you switch between high and low range? Will HDC switch on and off? The surest sign that intelligent life exists elsewhere in the universe is that none of it has tried to contact us yet.

Still not doing anything. Opened up the centre console and cant find any noticable damage ie water damage or rusting cables etc. checked all the connectors and they seam fine. opened the electronic box on the underside of the terrain response and the higher and lower, no visible electrical damage. Checked fuses, they all looked ok, but sure it would not raise if there was a fuse issue?
strange it will raise but not lower and no terrain response but will raise and go into hi range, the electrical box houses all the components to make it all work, so why some work and not others!!!
Now what? CLUB DEFNER

The Terrain Response ecu is only a front-end for some other ecus including the suspension ecu so its not necessarily something wrong with Terrain Resonse.
