If this has been posted before, then feel free to merge/delete etc...but I don't recall seeing a post about this...
People talk about making sure the radiator, compressor housing, EPB etc are all cleaned.
Today I was cleaning more mud and crud from underneath the car when I decided to poke my finger in the FBH exhaust pipe...it didn't go very far. So I chipped away with a pointed screw driver to clear the blockage. Quite a lot came out. But it was still blocked up at the slight kink in the pipe. Eventually, I cleared out a good 6-7 centimeters of blocked mud. In the end, one big lump came out about 2 cm in length and perfectly shaped as a FBH exhaust bung...
So - go clean your pipes out as well...The next American ex-pat that calls it a "truck" is going to find out what 2.7 tons feels like on their foot...

I checked mine the other day whilst we had the D3 up on the ramps fitting a new sump plate.
It was full of dried mud but didn't seem totally blocked like JF's was. I just rattled a long thin screwdriver around in the pipe until mud stopped falling out.

Do you think a turnip would work just as well.In the Beginning there was nothing, which exploded.
(the bung being mini, that is...not implying that ND is mini...oh no...definitely not... )The next American ex-pat that calls it a "truck" is going to find out what 2.7 tons feels like on their foot...

Turnip works well on road but off road I've noticed a slight rub especially using 17's with 265/70's.I'd stick with spuds if I were you , tho depends whats in season I spose

Yea I can see the problem now with the turnip taking up the room in the wheel arch. I suppose a parsnip would be better for the 19's especially as I have the wider 9" RRS wheels. In the Beginning there was nothing, which exploded.

"Very good Baldrick, it's a turnip in the shape of a thingy"
"which is quite funny my Lord, as I have a thingy exactly the shape of a turnip!"
