12 x D4's including 4X "G4'S" in silver - Edinburg
There I was minding me own business on a trip to the east of Edinburgh yesterday morning, bloddy d4's all over the place coming towards me heading to Edinburgh on the M8, seem to be coming from the M9 direction (forth road bridge) towards the city, every colour under the sun including 4xG4's (stickers on the front door panels) in silver with winches etc, looked pretty cool.
Two up in each, thought it might be the local press or dealers having a scive!!
Wasn't XTC up there rigging coms for LR at some promo bash???? They are probably all coming down from them thar hills..... Lucky feckers FORECAST FOR TONIGHT: things have happened out there!!!

talking of LR experience D4's, saw a low loader doing a back load coming down the M40 the other day, silver d4x1, RRSx1 & Defender x1, the D4 had the new experience livery, gurt big orange "X" then in smaller lettering making up the word "xtreme" across the rear doors and rear quarter with the front doors covered with the words/logo "Land Rover experience"
Clearly the marketing men got something right, looked really cool.
As for XTC photo, I stand corrected, was a flury of silver's with old LR experience block badge on the drivers doors, sorry for the confusion.

Also I believe from my local dealer that LR have been using them as taxis between Edinburgh Airport and Kelso, the Journos get to drive them there and back, thus saving Tata the cost of hiring taxi drivers. BTW there are several elderly Java D3's liveried as licensed taxis in Stirling....................Now a disillusioned new Land Rover buyer and have jumped ship to something less expensive and more reliable that hugs trees.... now driving a Mini Countryman PHEV as well as my trusty and brilliant 1996 Epsom Green Defender90 Tdi300

Not quite Taxi's... The journos get to drive 2 full day routes of magnificent countryside and some great off road tracks, a disused viaduct with terrapod on the top, forest and rivers with photo opp's at Meggets Dam and Floors Castle.
They are pampered overnight at a grand Hotel in Kelso before driving the 2nd day. They also get to do the 0-100-0 in a S/C Sport and a go on the skid pan. Having done the route several times now sorting comms links I can say LRE have excelled in their routes for this launch... Mind you, I am biased (LRE, invoice is in the post. Thanks!)Off Roading is OK.... But I'd rather be Boating!

They have put down a big square of tarmac at the disussed aerodrome where the 0-100 etc is done that is water laden and a course around plastic cones is set up. Lots of fun giving it welly with full lock, heavy braking etc. (This is done with the 500HP sports. Off Roading is OK.... But I'd rather be Boating!
