I have a feeling it might be a bit of a problem on the D4 Sad We are relying on Bodsy to come up with an alternative!! Idea

Thanks for the clear pics. Actually Richard, I was hoping fir you to have the solution? Laughing
That's gonna be some workaround, now where's wiggs.....?

dg, now don't be silly, I don't have a roof rack. I was planning on cutting the gel battery up and kind of moulding all the contents around the components in the aux area....... Whistle

The small box in the front has GLOW CONTROL UNIT on it. Maybe it can be relocated without too much trouble.

Sure the electrical bits would be relatively easy to move, it's all that plumbing that looks a bit tricky! Plus of course the w'tee if you start moving things about. Looks like it's the roof after all! Laughing

EDIT Just had a look at a pic that I had in my gallery and the plumbing looks like it may be in the same place Very Happy so if it's only the 2 black whatevers it may not be that bad...

Unless that wiring and box is there for a reason - eg. heat, water protection etc. Moving it all might expose it to the wrong thing. And as XTC said - that would then be a warranty issue...

Ditch the spare wheel and sling a couple of batteries in that space...
The next American ex-pat that calls it a "truck" is going to find out what 2.7 tons feels like on their foot...

Club "yes, I too get mysterious bings and bongs..."

Why not dump the airfilter and stick it in that box .

Laughing

It all just says to me that Land Rover are not serious now about the Discovery being equiped for off road & expedition use.
IMO it looks to bling even to be carrying the winch, mtr's etc.
It seems to be the city boys who LR are trying to appeal to now
[esp with these daft cocks led's].

Would have to disagree with you there a bit RONP, whilst it may be blinged up a bit it's better off road than the D3. The suspension changes and software updates have made a noticable difference. Having followed one in my D3 round the off road section at Floors Castle I was struggling and he was not... Think it's like the change from the TD5 to the D3, it will soon become the norm and no one will look back! Smile
On road is also a noticable difference, both with power and stability around bends. Even if the cosmetics arn't to anyones liking the mechanical ones will be once you have had a drive Bow down
