Nearly there!

Picking up my new D3 on Saturday Razz Razz Razz Razz Thumbs Up

Do I need to be bothered about the software version it has installed? How do I check during the delivery process which version it has? Are the problems with the various versions so bad that I shouldn't drive it off the forecourt with a particular version?

Sorry for the numpty question but whilst I have had many Macs over the years I have never had a car that needs the occasional reboot. (Apart from the sat nav on my M3).

You will mainly have to rely on the honesty of the dealer.

You should go through the settings menu, and it should not have the pre-heat/cool option. That tells you the instrument pack is up to date.

If the heater needs to be upto 24 degrees plus to give any worthwhile heat then the hvac need updating.

If its an auto and the PDC does not come when you drive away without releasing the park brake, then that needs sorting.

I would fully expect all the above to be done by default now.

I know its new, but please check that the tailgate struts are tight. Its so much hassle and damage if they break off Crying or Very sad

Thanks for those, had already decided the tailgate struts needed a good look.

Not sure what you mean about the PDC - is there a thread I should be looking at?

Ask the dealer and see if they have updated using WDS patch 2 (3 seems to have gone awry).

Park Distance Control fault was intermittent activation... sometimes works straight off... sometimes a delay... sometime not on until you stop and wait or re-select reverse.

But the key thing is... try not to smile at too many people as you drive down the road... very tempting and almost impossible to control.

ENJOY

The PDC is covered by Technical Service Bulletin (TSB) LA413-001. It should be done now, but you never know.

If you are unsure about anything, ask the forum.
