Nick comes up trumps again!!
Have a wheel bearing gone and now not advised to drive.
LR don't have any wheel bearings - not due in til 21st March
And, there are no aftermarket bearings [re Nick]
D3 is out of warranty so no LRA replacement vehicle.
If I don't go out - I don't earn!!!!
But a phone call to Nick [TLO - Yeovil] and he goes beyond the call of duty.
Apart from furnishing the stock situation to me,
he phoned around his contacts in the spares aftermarket.
Managed to secure me a hub with bearing.
This turned up this morning at 8.30am
D3 now in local garage for repair.
So, I'll be on my way for my long trip south next week.
If only other LR employees could offer a service [even at just 50%] of what Nick does, their dealerships would be outstanding.
Many thanks Nick, it's very, very much appreciated.

That's why dealers like Yeovil will survive this downturn, I only hope the chiefs at the top realise what their staff do for them.
I will be buying my Freelander 2 there, once I can be sure of the amount of losses we are making as a result of the weak £

echo all of the above, my local dealer didn't have the bits I needed, and said he couldn't get them for weeks.
I had them on my desk at work within 24 hrs of calling Nick.

Nick does it again
My D3 is in dealer for some bits and I asked them to check the slight noise now apparent.
Yes, it is the wheel bearing [the other one this time] and ..
No, there's none in stock!!!
Dealer advised they're on back order - AGAIN !!!!
A pm to Nick got me the response.
He advised [because some big person shouted at them at a recent LR meeting] the leadtime was brought forward and LR had bearings in stock NOW!!!
Nick advised that his were coming in in the morning and my dealers should also be in then.
Hey Ho, was able to tell my dealer that he should have his stock tomorrow and if so to keep my D3 in overnight, repair and return tomorrow.
With some scepticism they said they'd check and call me back.
They called me back .... my D3 will have it's bearing fitted tomorrow and returned by lunchtime
Well done that man Nick.
