Since last week-end, we noticed that the engine noise increased slightly and became throatier… Shortly less refined when a right temperature than before. My wife, who does not care much about mechanics, noticed it too. The performance does not seem to be affected, but I start to worry about potential engine problem…
Anyone noticed the same?
Or am I becoming hypochondriac?

My Disco engine sounds a bit rough and throaty until it reaches normal running temperature. I dont know what you mean by "Shortly less refined when a right temperature than before" *Disco3 7-seat Auto

Sorry wrote the msg in a rush
What I wanted to say was:
engine less refined and slightly more noisy/rough when running at the proper operating condition (nicely warm)
The difference is rather subtle but noticeable.
Oil is OK Hope so after only 1000 miles!

Same problem here, harsh noise while accelerating, like an old diesel and vibrations at idle speed. Oil is ok. Happened after a long trip at high speed (110-120 km/h)
