I understand the squarer top H piece was from 8.5 model year. Still it's an easy swap with yours as you just swap the top switch panel above the radio. Trim pieces just pull off and switch held in with two torx type screws.
They are or the ones i've seen anyway, 08 model years.

Hmm, not sure cos my current D3 is a 08 model year, Nov 2007 on a 57 plate and the G4 I have seen is an 08 allegedly 2008 model.
Mine has manual steering wheel adjust (as they do on 08 and prior) and the G4 has electric (as the 08.5 MY should) so I am very confused,

Ahh, was wondering if they were interchangeable - that's great, will ask them to get the torx out and swap over methinks.
Still, seems odd that a supposedly newer car than mine has the older dash but has the elect. steering wheel adjustment. Unless it is really an 07 MY with the optional elect. adjustable steering wheel and LR took 12 months to prep and fart about and then register it? Seems possibly the most likely. Will have a look at the VIN and get the dealer to look for me.
UPDATE: Have found pics of one of the 55-reg G4's on the web and that has the (optional) electric adjust for the steering wheel so am now guessing it is certainly not 08.5 and probably not 08 model year.

55 reg cars were actually made in MArch and April 05, and registered 1st september (LR tried to tell me my warranty ran out 1st May as that is when it was delivered to SVO for kitting) so I guess the 08's are the same.
If you see a 55 discovery with optional electric steering adjust, then something is wrong, as it was never fitted to these cars - it may be a RRS or a fake picture.Craig
