I know a couple of people with these, but what's the story with them.
Do all dealers do these?
Is it a fixed cost across all dealers like the LR warranty ?[ insert 'spit the dog' ] Or do dealers charge varying amounts for it?
Anyone with experience of it? Good or bad.
Not sure if it's for me, usually just pay it, but if there is a cash or additional benefit then

sometimes saves you a little bit, but generally it's just there to tie you to the dealer for a couple of services. Unless they're letting you pay over the 2 years or something like it at 0%?
Can't see much benefit personally (and boy am I glad I didn't take it out with Shukers when they offered it to me!) Bodsys Brake Bible

On the whole my dealer servicing has not been bad. Maybe worth a few phone calls on Monday

i took alook at it a while back - all they did was work out how many services you needed in the next 12 months, add the costs up and divided by 12 - So i would have ended up paying them money before i neede the service.
just an upside down way of spreading the payments ie pay now, buy later Duncan

I had a 3 year service pack on my D3 when I bought it, I can not remember the exact cost but believe it was around £800 (the price increased by about £100 just after I bought it) thought it was a good deal for 3 years! When I had the 3rd service I took out another 2 year pack for £640. The service pack with my dealer covers the service, courtesy car insurance, MOT and also gives you 10% of labour and parts.
I know you are paying in advance but you do safeguard yourself against any labour rate increases etc. If I hadn't had any prior experience of the dealership I would have been a bit hessitant but I've used them since 96 and have found them to be one of the good dealerships. 1996 Discovery 1 300TDI ES Biarritz Blue, sold
